Dhaka, 22 August, 2022:
A half day long roundtable discussion was held virtually through the zoom app at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) on 22 August, 2022 Mr. Ahmed Jamal, Chairman of BIBM Executive Committee and Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank was present in the roundtable discussion as the chief guest. Dr. Ashraf Al Mamun, Associate Professor & Director (Research, Development & Consultancy) of BIBM delivered welcome address. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Director General of BIBM chaired the program.

A paper “Exploring the Concept of Business Continuity Plan in the Banking Sector of Bangladesh” was presented in the program by Abdul Qayum Mohammad Kibriya, Faculty Member of BIBM. Other members of the research team were Antara Zareen, Assistant Professor of BIBM; Tofayel Ahmed, Assistant Professor of BIBM; Rahat Banu, Assistant Professor of BIBM; Foysal Hasan, Lecturer of BIBM; Galib Hamid Protik, Divisional Head of MTB Operations Division of Mutual Trust Bank Limited.

Dr. Barkat-e-Khuda, Dr. Muzaffer Ahmad Chair Professor of BIBM & Former  Professor of Dhaka University; Md. Ahsan Ullah, Supernumerary Professor of BIBM; Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of Mutual Trust Bank Limited; S. M. Mainuddin Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited made comments as designated discussants.

A good number of participants including senior bank executives, academicians, media representatives, faculty members of BIBM took part in the roundtable discussion. ######
