Dhaka, 08 August, 2022:

A half day long online review workshop was held at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) on 08 August, 2022. Mr. Ahmed Jamal, Chairman of BIBM Executive Committee and Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank was present in the review workshop as the chief guest. Mohammed Sohail Mustafa CFA, Associate Professor & Director (Training & Certification Program) of BIBM delivered welcome address. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Director General of BIBM Chaired the Program.

A paper titled “Sustainable Banking Activities of Banks in Bangladesh” was presented in the workshop by Dr. Shah Md. Ahsan Habib, Professor (Selection Grade) of BIBM.  Other members of the review workshop were Md. Nehal Ahmed, Professor (Selection Grade) and Director (DSBM) of BIBM; Rexona Yesmin, Assistant Professor of BIBM; Khondkar Morshed Millat, Director of Bangladesh Bank; Md. Mezbaul Haque, Director of Bangladesh Bank Shahana Ferdous, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank.

Md. Abdur Rahim, Supernumerary Professor of BIBM; Md. Arfan Ali, President and Managing Director of Bank Asia Limited; Mohammed Monirul Moula, Managing Director & CEO, Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited; Emranul Huq, Managing Director & CEO, Dhaka Bank Limited made comments as designated discussants.

A good number of participants including senior bank executives, academicians, faculty members of BIBM took part in the online review workshop.######
