Online Research Workshop on ‘Role of Banks in Managing the COVID-19 Effect on Inward Remittance in Bangladesh’ held18-11-2021
Dhaka, 17 November, 2021:
A half day long online Research workshop was held at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) on 17 November, 2021. Mr. Ahmed Jamal, Chairman of BIBM Executive Committee and Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank was present in the research workshop as the chief guest.
Mohammed Sohail Mustafa CFA, Associate Professor & Director (Training & Certification Program) of BIBM delivered welcome address. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Director General of BIBM Chaired the Program.
A paper ‘Role of Banks in Managing the COVID-19 Effect on Inward Remittance in Bangladesh’ was presented in the research workshop by Mohammed Sohail Mustafa CFA, Associate Professor & Director (Training & Certification Program) of BIBM. Other members of the research team are Md. Alamgir, Associate Professor of BIBM; Antara Zareen CDCS, Assistant Professor of BIBM; Rahat Banu CETS, Assistant Professor of BIBM; Tanveer Huda Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank; Md. Mahmudur Rahman CDCS SEVP of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited.

A good number of participants including senior bank executives, academicians, media representatives, faculty members of BIBM took part in the online research workshop.######
